Skillet Strawberry Crumble Recipe
This Skillet Strawberry Crumble makes the best dessert or breakfast for a crowd. It is perfect, for any time of year, and everyone loves it.
Cast Iron Skillet
- 3 cups strawberries diced
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 cups old fashioned oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup butter melted
Heat cast iron skillet over medium heat.
Combine strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch in skillet and cook until strawberries are softened and liquid thickens (about 5-7 minutes)
In a separate bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, and butter.
Sprinkle crumble over strawberry mixture.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Top with ice cream and enjoy! Best served warm.
- You could most definitely make this recipe, using frozen strawberries. However, we recommend letting the strawberries defrost.
