- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1¾ cups milk
- ½ cup canola oil
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- bananas for topping
- walnuts for topping
- whipped cream for topping (optional)
- Syrup for topping
Preheat your waffle maker to medium heat.
In a large bowl beat 2 eggs on high speed until frothy and bubbly (it takes about a minute).
Add flour, baking powder and salt then stir to combine.
Pour in milk, oil, vanilla and honey. Whisk together until smooth.
Pour 1/4 cup of waffle batter into preheated waffle iron and cook until done.
Top with additional bananas, walnuts, whipped cream and syrup.
