Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • cups milk
  • ½ cup canola oil
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • bananas for topping
  • walnuts for topping
  • whipped cream for topping (optional)
  • Syrup for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat your waffle maker to medium heat.
  • In a large bowl beat 2 eggs on high speed until frothy and bubbly (it takes about a minute).
  • Add flour, baking powder and salt then stir to combine.
  • Pour in milk, oil, vanilla and honey. Whisk together until smooth.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of waffle batter into preheated waffle iron and cook until done.
  • Top with additional bananas, walnuts, whipped cream and syrup.
