Instructions
Spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray and place turkey breast and diced onions inside.
In a small bowl, mix together the water and onion soup mix and spread evenly over turkey.
In another small bowl, mix together remaining ingredients and sprinkle over the turkey breast.
Cook on low for 8-9 hours (or until turkey is very tender and the seasonings have flavored the meat).
Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the breast and make sure it reads at least 165℉ (75℃) to ensure that your turkey is fully-cooked.
Remove turkey from slow cooker, cut into slices and serve.
Notes
In order to make the most of this recipe, we have the following tips:
Meat should be thawed before cooking. Otherwise, the cooking process will take much longer.
Save the drippings to make a delicious turkey gravy.
If you do not want to use nonstick cooking spray, use a
crockpot liner
to easily remove the drippings out of the slow cooker.
You will need a 6 to 8-quart slow cooker. Smaller crockpots will not work.
