If you do not have fresh pineapple on hand, you can use a can of strained pineapple.For me, smoothies are a great way to get added nutrients for myself and my kids. However, if you want to try and sneak some more veggies or protein have at it. Some of our favorite add-ins include the following: spinach, kale, hemp seed, protein powder, ground flaxseed, nut butter (almond or cashew), greens powder, or avocado.
