- 12 slices Texas Toast (or thick sliced bread, French bread would also work)
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups egg nog
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon sugar
Spray a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
Heat skillet to medium heat.
In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, egg nog, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar.
Dip each side of the bread into the mixture and cook in skillet for about 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Serve with maple syrup.
You will need non stick cooking spray for this recipe.
If you really don’t love eggnog, or want to take down the flavor, you could substitute one of the cups of eggnog, for a cup of milk or cream.
