- 16 ounces penne pasta (1 pound)
- 26 ounces marinara sauce (1 jar)
- 16 ounces alfredo sauce (1 jar)
- 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken (a rotisserie chicken works great for this recipe)
- 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup fresh shredded parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cook pasta according to directions on package; drain and set aside.
Spray a 9x13” pan with non-stick cooking spray. Spread 1/2 cup marinara sauce on the bottom. Pour half of the cooked pasta into the pan. On top of that, pour half of the Alfredo sauce, half of the chicken, half of the marinara sauce, and half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese.
Repeat layers with what remains (pasta, Alfredo sauce, chicken, marinara sauce, and cheeses).
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes or until the dish is heated all the way through and the cheese is bubbly.
If desired, top with fresh parsley.
- You can also make this without chicken for a meatless dish or you can add cooked and crumbled Italian sausage for a different version. All ways are delicious!
