Ingredients

  • 6-9 pound boneless skinless turkey breasts
  • 1 onion diced
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 ounce dry onion soup mix
  • 2 Tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon seasoned salt
  • 1 Tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon dried basil

Instructions

  • Spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray and place turkey breast and diced onions inside.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the water and onion soup mix and spread evenly over turkey.
  • In another small bowl, mix together remaining ingredients and sprinkle over the turkey breast.
  • Cook on low for 8-9 hours (or until turkey is very tender and the seasonings have flavored the meat).
  • Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the breast and make sure it reads at least 165 degrees F (75 degrees C) to ensure that your turkey is fully-cooked.
  • Remove turkey from slow cooker, cut into slices and serve.

Notes

TIPS FOR MAKING A TURKEY IN THE SLOW COOKER:
  • Be sure to have the meat thawed before cooking (otherwise the cooking process will take much longer)
  • Save the drippings to make delicious turkey gravy
  • Use a crockpot liner (like THIS one) to make getting the drippings out of the crockpot EASY!
  • To make this recipe, you will want a 6-8 quart slow cooker. This slow cooker will work perfectly! It will not work in the smaller crockpots.
