Cornflake Christmas Wreath Cookies Recipe

These Christmas Corn Flake Wreaths are the perfect holiday treat for the kids. I like to make them at holiday classroom parties and family get togethers.

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Large Saucepan
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Parchment Paper or Wax Paper
  • Non-stick Cooking Spray or extra butter

Ingredients

  • 5 ½ cups corn flakes slightly crushed
  • ½ cup butter
  • 5 cups miniature marshmallows
  • ½ teaspoon green food coloring
  • ½ cup mini M & M's red

Instructions

  • Place corn flakes into a large bowl.
  • Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Once melted, add the marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted.
  • Stir in food coloring.
  • Pour melted marshmallows into the large bowl with the corn flakes. Stir until well coated.
  • Lay out a piece of parchment paper on your kitchen counter.
  • Dollop spoonfuls of the corn flake mixture onto the parchment paper.
  • Grease clean hands with butter or cooking spray and use your fingers to shape each spoonful into an individual wreath.
  • Top each wreath with red candies.

Notes

I also got a little red frosting and painted on some bows on the top of some of the wreaths.
