Ingredients

  • 2 (15 ounce) chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • ¼ cup olive oil plus more for garnish
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley leaves chopped
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup water
  • paprika to garnish

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine all the ingredients except for the parsley and paprika that will be used as a garnish.  Blend until smooth and pour hummus onto your serving plate. 
  • Drizzle lightly with olive oil, sprinkle parsley and paprika on top and serve.  Cover the top with plastic wrap and store at room temperature or in the fridge.
