Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie, is my new go to pie. I am not much of a pie lover, but this is basically eating a giant chocolate chip cookie, and it is delicious. You need to try this one.

I know Father’s Day is coming up and our Dad always ordered pie for his special dessert.
We aren’t huge pie eaters at our house (would much rather have something with frosting, of course), so I tried out this cookie pie.
It was soooo good, especially when it was still warm and gooey.
If you are looking for a delicious and easy dessert recipe, this is definitely one you need to try.
If you like chocolate chip cookies, you are going to love this one.

could i use graham cracker crust for this recipe?

You could most definitely use graham cracker crust for this recipe, instead of regular pie crust.

I am all about the graham cracker and this tastes amazing with it.

However, I do recommend placing thin strips of foil around the edges, to avoid the crust, burning. Bake the pie with the foil on, and your pie edges won’t burn.

is salted or unsalted butter, better for this recipe?

For this recipe, we used unsalted butter, because we wanted to make is as sweet as we could. However, if you only have salted butter on hand, it will still work great.

It may have a little more salty flavor to it, but I doubt it will be noticeable.

what could i top my cookie pie with?

Toppings are one of the most important parts of recipes. I love topping all my desserts with a little extra something, to give it more flavor and taste.

Here are a few of my favorite toppings to put on my cookie pie:

-Ice Cream
-Fresh Fruit (Strawberries)
-Whipped Cream
-Caramel or Chocolate Syrup
-Chocolate Chips
-M & M’s (or your favorite candy bar crumbles)
-Crumbled Oreo’s

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust, homemade or store-bought.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. real butter, softened (1 1/2 sticks)
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped pecans (optional)

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F.
  2. Beat eggs in large mixer bowl on high speed until foamy. Beat in flour, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat in butter. Stir in morsels and nuts. Spoon into pie shell.
  3. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack or serve slightly warmed. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. Can also drizzle chocolate syrup on top!
  4. I bought unbaked pie crusts in the refrigerated section of the store and most of them came in packs of two. I just doubled the recipe and made two pies. They are so easy so why not whip up two?
