Half of the fun of going to Disneyland is the anticipation! To get our kids even more excited for our trips to Disneyland we love to watch some of our favorite Disney movies to brush up on all things Disney!
Here are 20 movies to watch before going to Disneyland:
1. Cars
Radiator Springs Racers is the top attraction in both parks! You will see all your favorite Cars characters in the Pixar Parade in California Adventure, as well as the Radiator Springs landscape in Cars Land.

2. Sleeping Beauty
A trip to Disneyland isn’t complete without visiting Sleeping Beauty’s castle! You’ll find Aurora in park parades, as well as at character meet and greets!

3. Toy Story
Two of our favorite rides are Toy Story Midway Mania (in California Adventure) and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters (in Disneyland). You can also meet your favorite Toy Story friends at Paradise Pier and see them in the Pixar Parade in California Adventure!

4. Monsters Inc.
Join Mike, Sulley and friends in Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue, inspired by the movie! Your kids will also love the Escape from Montropolis Attraction in Disney California Adventure Park. You can meet your favorite Monsters Inc. characters at meet-n-greets in California Adventure and in the Pixar Parade.

5. Peter Pan
Our mom’s favorite ride at Disneyland is Peter Pan’s Flight. The details are awesome and your kids will feel like they are flying through scenes from the movie! Sometimes you will even see Tinker Bell during fireworks in the Magic Kingdom!

6. A Bug’s Life
Your kids will LOVE A Bug’s Land in California Adventure! You’ll see your favorite characters from A Bug’s Life in the Pixar Parade and enjoy some fun Bug’s Life attractions!

7. Alice in Wonderland
I don’t know a kid who doesn’t love the Mad Tea Party Tea Cups ride. You’ll also find the White Rabbit’s house and the Alice in Wonderland attraction in Disneyland!

8. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
You can meet Snow White at character meet-n-greets as well as in Mickey’s Soundsational Parade! Don’t forget to ride Snow White’s Scary Adventure and visit Snow White’s Grotto near the castle!

9. The Little Mermaid
You can ride Ariel’s Undersea Adventure in California Adventure as well as King Triton’s Carousel! Stop for a bite to eat in Ariel’s Grotto in California Adventure to dine with Ariel and other princesses. You can see Ariel at character meet-n-greets and in Mickey’s Soundsational Parade!

10. Frozen
I’m sure your family has seen Frozen a few hundred times like ours, but you’ll want to watch it again before you head to Disneyland! Check out Frozen Fun at California Adventure. You can also meet Anna and Elsa in the Frozen Pre-Parade, before Mickey’s Soundsational Parade. Arendelle is now part of the Storybook Land Canal Boats attraction and you can shop in Anna and Elsa’s Boutique in Downtown Disney!

11. The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction at Disneyland is a classic! You can also stop for a snack at Pooh’s Corner bakery and meet characters in Disneyland for meet-n-greets!

15. Mickey Mouse
You can’t go wrong with any type of Mickey Mouse video! Our kids love these funny, Mickey episodes and have come to love every one of Mickey’s pals! Meet Mickey and friends at character meet-n-greets and see them in Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, Fantasmic and World of Color. Toon Town is filled with all kinds of fun Mickey Mouse attractions that your kids will love!

Every child loves Dumbo’s Flying Elephants in Disneyland! You can also go for a ride on the Casey Jr. Circus Train!

If you have little ones, I’m sure you are familiar with all their Disney Junior favorites. Our kids love the Disney Junior Live show in Disney’s California Adventure! They can also meet some of their favorite Disney Junior characters at meet-n-greets.
