Turtle Pumpkin Pie

My parents have some friends who have a Thanksgiving Eve Pie Party at their house each year. They make a ton of pies and then invite all their friends over for a pre-Thanksgiving feast. I thought that it was such a fun idea and great way to kick off the weekend of eating. 🙂

Nothing is as classic as pumpkin pie, but this Turtle Pumpkin Pie is going to give it a run for it’s money! If you are looking for a delicious spin on pumpkin pie, look no further! This pie is seriously amazing (and so easy to throw together!).

Turtle Pumpkin Pie

A delicious spin on pumpkin pie - the creamy layers and graham crust along with caramel make an amazing dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 ready-to-use graham cracker crust
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 (8 oz) tub Cool Whip frozen non-dairy dessert, thawed

Instructions

  1. Pour caramel topping onto bottom of pie crust; sprinkle with pecans.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together pudding mixes, milk, canned pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Mix in 1 1/2 cups COOL WHIP to the pumpkin mixture then spoon into crust.
  4. Refrigerate 1 hour.
  5. Top pie with remaining COOL WHIP, then drizzle with additional caramel topping and pecans (optional) before serving.

I have enjoyed your recipes over the years and look forward each day to new ones and your daily updates, etc. BUT.....when you changed your blog or website, ie: updated it a while back it has caused me all sorts of problems. It takes forever to download and boggs down my computer to the point that sometimes it will hang up in the middle of downloading.
