The Best Pork Chop Marinade

During the summer months, I rarely use my oven . . . most of my cooking happens outside on the grill. Our cute mom was grilling our dinners year-round; I can still remember one winter when she shoveled a path in the snow so that she could grill some chicken for Sunday dinner. 🙂

My mom has been using this recipe for years (she thinks that she cut it out of the newspaper a long time ago) and it’s been my go-to pork chop marinade ever since she gave it to me. Pork chops sometimes cook up dry, but this makes the pork so juicy and incredible tender.

And even if you don’t have pork chops, try it with chicken. The flavor is absolutely delicious!

The Best Pork Chop Marinade

Looking for the best pork chop marinade? Well, look no further! This recipe leaves your pork so juicy, tender, and full of amazing flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless pork chops (about 4-6 chops)

Instructions

  1. In a gallon-sized resealable bag, add the soy sauce, chili sauce, honey, vegetable oil, green onion, and curry powder and mix until completely combined (I just use my hands and squish it all around in the bag until it's all mixed).
  2. Add in the pork chops, then seal the bag. Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours, but I highly recommend letting them marinade for 6-8 hours (or even overnight!).
  3. Remove bag from fridge, place pork chops on grill over medium high heat and discard marinade. Grill for 6-8 minutes on each side or until the insides of the pork chops are no longer pink.
  4. Enjoy!

  1. My husband and I made this a couple of weeks ago, and we fell in love with the flavors. It's a great marinade. We didn't have regular chili sauce, so I used 2 tablespoons of sriracha (a smaller amount so that we didn't overwhelm our tastebuds). We grilled the porkchops and served with roasted sweet potatoes and broccoli. We liked the meal so much, we're having it again tonight. Thanks for a great recipe!

    These look wonderful and the recipe seems simple enough - I hope to try this soon. The only thing I don't quite understand is why the last ingredient is written as "boneless skinless pork chops" - I've NEVER seen a pork chop with any skin on, ever. What would that look like?
