M&M Magic Cookie Bars

Magic Cookie Bars

My husband started his first day of Residency a little bit ago. I made these M&M Magic Cookie Bars to hopefully calm his nerves. He was actually so nervous he couldn’t even eat one. But don’t worry, once he got home he ate about 5 of them (they were that good!) Hope you love them as much as we do!

  • 2 cups M&M's (divided into 1 cup portions)
  • 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut

  3. When butter is melted, remove pan from oven and carefully sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs over the melted butter. Press lightly with the back of spoon.
  4. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the crumb layer.
  5. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips, 1 cup of the M&M's over the sweetened condensed milk layer. Sprinkle all of the coconut on top, followed by remaining chocolate chips & M&M's.
  6. Bake in your oven for 25-30 minutes or until a little brown. Remove from oven and allow them to cool completely!

  1. These were okay, some people however really liked them at the party i made them for. I thought they were too thin. Ithink the concept is there but ithink if they were thicker i would have liked them better. I also thought they had too much of the chocolate on top, maybe a better balance would be to make the bottom thicker or try a premade cookie bottom and just add the m&m and coconut. I dont think i would make this again.
