Cake Mix Peanut Butter Bars

I love when I find good cake mix recipes because I know I will usually have all of the ingredients on hand! These Peanut Butter Cake Mix Bars were perfect for someone like me who can’t quite seem to get enough peanut butter into my diet, but don’t like to spend a ton of time in the kitchen! So easy, and so delicious, you’ll be making them for every occasion!

  • 1 (15.25 ounce) pkg. white cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • Filling:
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips
  • 3/4 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 cup chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix cake mix, the egg, canola oil, and peanut butter in large bowl.
  3. Mix with large spoon (or hands) until it makes a crumbly dough.
  4. Press 3/4 dough into the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.
  5. Set the 1/4 dough mixture aside.
  6. Pour entire can of sweetened condensed milk over the pressed dough.
  7. Then sprinkle peanuts, peanut butter chips, and Reese's on top.
  8. The remaining dough should be a little crumbly, sprinkle what's left over the condensed milk and toppings.
  9. Most of the middle layer should be covered.
  10. Place in the oven and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  11. Cool for at least 45 minutes before serving.
