20-Minute Skillet Lasagna Recipe

I remember that this time of year was always crazy-busy for my mom . . . at one point, she had 5 of us 6 girls all involved in a city soccer league and it seemed like her evenings consisted of driving us around to our different games and practices. Then there were piano lessons, end-of-year school programs, tumbling . . . the list goes on and on! Now that my kids are getting a little older, our schedules are filling up and dinner quickly becomes a low priority. Sometimes you just need something that you can throw together in a matter of minutes! And when the weather is this beautiful, who wants to spend time slaving over a hot oven?  This Skillet Lasagna recipe is so fast and easy! I whipped up dinner in less than one episode of Dora the Explorer and my kids (and husband!) loved it. This will be a new staple around our house!

  1. Havent made this in a long time and I love the idea of bowtie noodles. much heartier noodle like a lasangne noodle and I have 2 bags waiting in the wings. I dont use the sour cream but I do add in some ricotta/cottage cheese mix really makes it taste like a ziti/lasagne.
  2. I made this last week to switch it up from our regular spaghetti and it was a huge hit with my husband!! This will be a new staple around our house. So quick and easy and kid-friendly!! This is delicious! I'm usually not a fan of pasta and pasta sauce, but I made this because my boyfriend thought it sounded good, and I'm glad I did! Thanks for the recipe. This is the best pasta dish I've had and only minimal cost. Perfect!

First time on your site!! Amazing work girls!
  5. I love your blog, and I've prepared several of your dishes (w/some minor adjustments) in order to suit my family's palate. I love 'short-cut' meals, and this dish sounds pretty quick & easy to prepare on a busy evening. I do however, have a slight issue with using Sour Cream for 'creaminess' in this dish! Sour Cream will 'throw-off' the entire flavor of this Lasagna dish! If you ever made a REAL Italian Lasagna, you'd know that there is NO Sour Cream in it! Try using (Low-Fat) Ricotta Cheese', ( or) '2% Cottage Cheese', (or) "Neufrachel Cheese" in place of the 'Sour Cream'.... in order to obtain the 'creaminess'. I don't feel that the 'Sour Cream ' would EVER work in this dish, but this is (only) my personal opinion.
