Oreo Cookie Truffles

Whenever we have these at a family gathering, they are seriously gobbled up in a matter of minutes! They are super easy to make, but taste like you spent hours preparing them.

  • 1 (16 oz) package of Oreo cookies, divided
  • 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 package of almond bark (or baking chocolate, whatever you prefer), melted

  1. Crush 9 of the cookies to fine crumbs in food processor; reserve for later use. (Cookies can also be finely crushed in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin.) Crush remaining 36 cookies to fine crumbs; place in medium bowl. Add cream cheese; mix until well blended. Roll cookie mixture into 42 balls, about 1-inch in diameter. Put balls in fridge for 30 minutes to an hour.
  2. Dip balls in chocolate; place on wax paper-covered baking sheet. (Any leftover chocolate can be stored at room temperature for another use.) Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.
  3. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Store leftover truffles, covered, in refrigerator.

I am making this for a group of elementary girls I teach on sundays at church. I CAN'T WAIT to make them tonight. But, I don't want 3rd and 4th graders high on sugar! :) How many should I give one girl? At least how many truffles are in a serving?? So excited for these!
    • Almond bark comes in a 24 ounce package. You could melt half of it and see how far it takes you. You can always melt more as needed. You can also store any leftover melted chocolate in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat it for another time. Hope this helps!
