Nutella Stuffed Custard French Toast

I love Nutella.  I can pretty much eat it plain because I think it is so delicious!  The custard mixture you dip this french toast in makes it absolutely amazing!  We serve this with maple syrup, but it is so good you don’t even need it!

  1. As a french toast novice (how can one possibly screw up french toast? Ask me!), I'm interested enough to give this one a go. Nutella is a wonderful motivator!

  2. Coming over from Whisking Wednesdays. I, too, am a Nutella lover. I don't have the heavy cream, but I think I will use half and half and make these for my breakfast tomorrow. Thanks for posting. I am both following and subscribing. I have a sister, too, but just one.

  6. This morning I made this. Had a ripe banana on the counter, and thought chopped pecans would be yummy too, OH YEA was I right! I bought French bread and cut one inch thickness and slit the middle and stuffed them. I happened to have the heavy cream and it does make it more "custardy" but I don't think it is nessasary. Will need to cook a little longer with the thickness. Make sure the Nutella is spread thin on the bread or it can be too rich. The sprinkle of powdered sugar makes a pretty presentation. My husband liked it and said it didn't need any syrup.
