In February 2011, we started our blog SixSistersStuff.com. After years of living close to one another, we were being pulled in many different directions- one sister moved to the West coast, another sister followed her husband to medical school, one moved away to college, and another sister had just lost a baby. We needed each other now more than ever and we used our blog as a way to stay in touch.
Before we started blogging, we were constantly calling each other for recipe ideas, craft projects, and ways to keep our children entertained during those long winter days. The blog was the perfect way for us to share those ideas with each other and we were having so much fun doing it. We are all busy, whether it's with our kids, jobs, school, husbands, community involvement, or something else eating up our time, so all the recipes and projects you will find on this blog are quick and easy! Our recipes are family favorites that use ingredients that can commonly be found in your pantry and our crafts and home decor projects can be made with little or no money. We don't claim to be amazing chefs- we just know the importance of feeding your family a home-cooked meal and sitting down to eat it together. Our mom and dad taught us so many great values and we are thankful that they instilled the importance of family time in our lives. Even the busiest of people can make the food and project ideas we share, which will give you even more time to spend with your family and loved ones.
We told our friends and family about our little blog and slowly found more and more people were visiting it each day. We started doing research and discovered that we could turn this blog into something more . . . something bigger than we ever could have dreamed. Within one year of starting our blog, we went from hundreds of hits per day to HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of hits per day.
This blog has now turned into a family business, providing part-time work for each of the sisters.

Here is a little info about all of us:

Camille is the oldest sister and is married to her husband Jared. They have been married for 8 years and are still madly in love. Camille met Jared at Utah State University and they married a short 9 months after their first meeting. Camille graduated with a degree in Elementary Education, but decided that she really enjoyed working in retail and managing a business, so she never used her teaching degree to teach school (although she swears she uses her education everyday raising her children). After some struggles with infertility and miscarriage, Camille and Jared are the proud parents of Brynlee and Mason and have another little girl joining their family in the September 2012. Camille loves being a stay-at-home mom, but to help put Jared through Physical Therapy school, Camille ran a successful eBay store while her children took their naps each day. Only recently has she closed down her online store to focus more on the Six Sisters' website and conference. Jared graduated from the University of Utah with a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and runs MountainLand Physical Therapy in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. They recently purchased their first house and are trying to decorate it on a budget while paying back all their student loans. In her spare time, she loves to go to the gym, read, catch up on TV shows with her husband, and eat ice cream outside with her family on warm summer nights.

Kristen is coming up on her 6th Anniversary in July to her amazing husband Ammon. They have 2 little girls, Addy age 4 and Ensley age 2. She is expecting their 3rd baby on Thanksgiving! She has lived in 3 different states in the past 4 years - Peoria, Arizona for Ammon’s Master’s program, Kirksville, Missouri for his first 2 years of medical school at ATSU, and now they live in Logan, UT while he finishes his 3rd and 4th years of medical school. Being a Medical Student Widow has definitely been an adventure but she has loved every step of the way. She loves to run races, play soccer, read, craft and just be with her family. Her favorite food is store bought white cake with white buttercream frosting- especially if the frosting is thicker than the cake.
Elyse is a proud mom of a 2 year old son, Camden, with another boy expected to arrive in June! She has been married to the love of her life, Jared, for 3 years. In the three years they have been married, they have had quite the adventure! After getting married, Elyse and her husband moved up to Logan, UT where her husband had a full ride scholarship to Utah State University. After living there for only 4 months, the newlyweds moved off to Edina, Minnesota where Jared worked doing Summer sales for an alarm company. They returned back to Logan and a new apartment in the Fall. The next summer, with a six week old baby, they moved to San Bruno, California where her husband worked as a sales manager for the Summer. Once again, they returned to Logan (and a new apartment) for school. Jared graduated in the Spring of 2011, and just following graduation they moved to Ventura, California where Jared worked for the Summer. That Fall, they moved back to Brigham City, UT and Jared worked for a company in Ogden, UT. After just six months, Jared received a job offer for a company in Orem, UT so they packed up and moved to Pleasant Grove, UT where he could work and get his Master’s Degree. Elyse is a stay-at-home mom and loves it! She enjoys playing with her family, baking, decorating her apartment (such is the life as a renter!), making plans for her dream home, and traveling. She thinks there is nothing better than relaxing on the couch in sweat pants watching Modern Family or the E! Channel with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s in hand!
Stephanie (or Steph to almost everyone) is a currently a senior at Utah State University majoring in Communication Studies with a Family, Consumer, and Human Development Minor. After living in Logan for the past 3 years, she has fallen in love with everything the cute little college town has to offer – True Aggie Nights, Aggie Ice Cream, Sledding down Old Main Hill, country swing dancing, hiking and camping up Logan Canyon, Cox Honeyland, and the crazy life of a Singles Ward. She is our new advertising specialist for the blog (and is loving that that she can choose her own hours!). She loves running and is training for her first full marathon this September! She spends her time watching Vampire Diaries, Modern Family or Grey’s Anatomy, working out at the gym, going on bike rides, swimming, and just spending time with her roomies – but she is grateful to be just close enough to home to hang out with the fam (and to go do her laundry). Reading is one of her favorite past times, and if she disappears for a few hours, it’s probably so she can finish a book. She always sings at the top her lungs in the shower, and loves dancing (even if she dances a little crazy!). She is super outgoing and friendly, and loves meeting new people. After she finishes school, she dreams of taking some time off to travel the world before heading off to graduate school.
Lauren just graduated high school and is looking forward to attending Utah State University in the fall as a University Ambassador. She looks forward to attending cosmetology school after studying business at USU. She loves spending time with her friends, playing tennis and working - at a local trampoline park! She is an avid tweeter and loves sitting down with a mango-pineapple smoothie (from McDonald's) to watch any good chick flick. There are very few moments where she is sitting around with nothing to do. She always looks cute, even for always being on the run!

Kendra is the youngest, and from what we've been told, the prettiest (last the best of all, right?)! :) She will be a Junior in high school and will be the Junior Class President. She is the stylish one in the family! We always know what trends are in after hanging out with Kendra! She plays for her high school soccer team (Go Knights!) and loves running, sleeping, and hanging out with all her friends. She loves hot summer nights, bonfires, and going to the drive-in. She is definitely the favorite aunt out of all of us!
We have the best, most loving parents in the world! They are so patient to put up with all 6 of us. I don't know how my dad didn't give us away after all the fights over borrowing clothes, curfew and boys. We look up to them and love them so much!
