Today I am sharing with you one of the recipes from our newest cookbook, 12 Days of Christmas with SixSistersStuff.
If you love gingerbread, why not eat it for breakfast?! The flavor of these waffles is exactly how Christmas should taste. 🙂
As I have mentioned before, I am not typically a big breakfast eater. But Christmas is definitely the exception . . . it seems that so many holiday memories are intertwined with food! When we were growing up, we would spend Christmas morning opening our gifts and playing with them while my parents whipped up a yummy breakfast. While the gifts were such a fun part of the day, being with family is what was the most important and as we (the sisters) have grown older and now have families of our own, I have realized that is what I need to focus on: making memories with my family. And Christmas breakfast or brunch is a great place to start!
I liked putting whipped cream and fruit on top of mine, but my kids and husband drowned theirs in syrup! Both ways are divine.
