Fresh Peach Dumpling Roll-Ups Recipe

It's the most wonderful time of the year . . . .

PEACH SEASON!

One of my favorite things is a fresh, juicy peach- there is nothing better!

Our parents planted a peach tree a couple of years ago and it's now producing peaches by the dozens! Unfortunately, they only stay fresh for a limited amount of time, so we have been eating peaches for every meal, snack, and treat. :)

A while ago, Elyse shared a recipe for Bite-Sized Apple Pies and I was thinking that I could easily make it with these peaches. I didn't have pie crust, but I had some crescents in my fridge. I love warm peaches in the middle of buttery sweet dough and the crescents were perfect for that!

You can eat these hot out of the oven or let them cool a little bit- either way, I highly recommend serving them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Fresh Peach Dumpling Roll-Ups
Ingredients:
1 (8 count, 8 oz) roll refrigerated crescent rolls
2 large peaches
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
cinnamon and sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 9X11" baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Cut each peach into quarters (peel the skin off if you want- I just left mine on). Unroll the crescents and sprinkle the inside of the crescent with cinnamon and sugar. Place a peach on each crescent roll and roll up. Place the roll in the baking pan.
In a medium saucepan, heat the butter, sugar, and water until boiling and it thickens up. Remove from heat and pour over the crescents.
Sprinkle crescents with additional cinnamon and sugar.
Bake for 27-30 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.

What a great idea for using up your excess peaches. Those dumpling roll-ups look and sound fantastic. Unfortunately where I’m at we don’t get the fresh peaches, but it is getting time to start picking apples. I’d probably do the same thing with my apple harvest.

You ladies are absolutely amazing! These look so good. Last time I tried making apple dumplings substituting peaches they were too mushy, I was soooo sad. I will have to give these a try they look fabulous! This is featured from Great Idea Thursday’s! Thank you for always bringing such amazing posts to my Link Party!
