This past weekend we had the chance to attend an amazing blog conference and we were able to connect with many of our blogging friends. One of the highlights of the conference was talking to some other food bloggers and cracking up about how terrible some of our first pictures were. We used to take our pictures at night, with a big flash, bad angles . . . and we were laughing so hard at one picture that we had of some chicken that looked like a fetus. Ha ha!
We still have a long way to go in our photography, but at least our food looks edible!! 🙂 Ha ha!
I love using frozen bread dough because it makes for quick and easy side dishes. This flat bread was so simple and my family raved about it for the next week!
Cheesy Garlic Flat Bread Ingredients:
12 frozen dough dinner rolls, thawed and risen (I used Rhodes dinner rolls- you could also use your own frozen dough)
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray counter or board with non-stick cooking spray. Combine rolls into one large dough ball and roll into an 11×16-inch rectangle. Place on a sprayed 10×15-inch baking sheet. Spread dough with butter. Prick dough several times with a fork. Sprinkle evenly with basil, garlic salt & cheese. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 30 minutes. Remove wrap and bake for 20-25 minutes.
