Slow Cooker Honey Ribs Recipe

Print Friendly

If I had to pick a favorite food, it would be ribs (unless chocolate counts, right?)!  Whenever we go out to dinner, I always end up ordering ribs.  I love the moist, succulent meat.  I love them even more, when I can make them at home in my slow cooker!  These ribs are so moist, they just fall apart.  They are delicious!

Slow Cooker Honey Ribs Recipe:
(Serves 4-6)
2 pounds boneless, country style pork ribs
1 (14.5 ounce) can beef broth
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 Tablespoons maple syrup
3 Tablespoons honey
3 Tablespoons barbecue sauce
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Lightly grease slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.  Place ribs in the bottom of slow cooker.  Combine beef broth, soy sauce, maple syrup, honey, barbecue sauce and dry mustard in a mixing bowl.  Pour over ribs.  Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4.

What can I substitute for the barbeque sauce? I can’t have anything with tomatoes in it because of a nightshade allergy.

I use Hoisin Sauce. Most grocery stores carry it in the international aisle with the Asian foods.
