I've been trying hard to eat healthier and I came up with this little baby. It is so simple and perfect for dinner or lunch. I even doubled the turkey and froze it after I cooked it so it would be even easier to make for lunches the next week. Hope you love it as much as I did!
Healthy Turkey Pita Wrap
6 whole wheat pitas
1 lb of ground turkey
1 onion chopped
1 tsp taco seasoning
2 Tomatoes diced
1/2 cup low fat shredded cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 red pepper diced
1/2 cup sour cream
Brown ground turkey on the stove top. After it is almost done add the onions. Cook until turkey is done and onions are soft. Take off the burner and add the taco seasoning.
Then put your Pita Wrap together. Add your turkey on the bottom then sour cream, red pepper, tomato, cheese and then lettuce on top. Serve with your favorite salsa.
Makes 6 pita wraps
