Six Sisters’ Weekly Menu Plan #1

Print Friendly

Growing up our mom sat down each Saturday to plan out the weekly menu for the upcoming week. Dinner was always cooked and ready by the time we all came home and sat around the kitchen table.
We decided it might be helpful to give you a few ideas for your own weekly menu and so we will be sharing our own menu plans each Saturday night!
Creating a shopping list cuts down the time you will be spending in the grocery store, saves you money, and most importantly helps you and your family eat healthier.

I am so excited that you guys will be posting your weekly menus! You should create a link up. I post mine every Sunday but am always looking for new ideas!!

For real? Three days with sandwiches for dinner? One with Pizza, one with an overload of potatoes. That leaves two meals that in my house would be considered dinner. Wish I could cook that way!!!!!

Thanks so much! I love having a plan that I can easily adjust to my family’s schedule! Hot sandwiches are definitely considered dinner in our home which is keeping up with the schedules of active, busy high-schoolers and their younger brother. You are my “go-to” recipe blog and this will be a great addition. Again, thank you!

  4. I always found it easier to plan my menu for the fortnight (I was paid fortnightly) it not only saved me thinking about food all the time, I knew ahead of time what I would be cooking. As well as saving time and money I had little or no wastage. Food wastage seems to be a big problem all over the world so if everyone wrote a menu plan maybe this would reduce the amount of food that goes into landfill.

Thanks for sharing your menu plan. I really need to start planning more because we spend too much money on food and we never know what we are having in the morning! H always calls me at work to see what is for dinner and I never have a clue. http://www.live-little.com
