Crock Pot Bacon Ranch Chicken

This recipe was creamy comfort food at it's finest!
I love the combination of bacon and ranch and the pasta and sauce perfectly compliments the duo. I promise that your family will love this simple dish.

Crock Pot Bacon Ranch Chicken
Ingredients:
2 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled (can use turkey bacon)
1 tsp minced garlic
1 (1 oz) packet dry ranch dressing mix
1 (10.75 oz) can 98% fat-free condensed cream of chicken soup (or Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup)
1 cup sour cream (fat-free works great)
1 lb. chicken breasts (can be frozen or defrosted)
8 oz. of your favorite pasta, cooked

Directions:
Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray and place chicken in the crock pot.
Mix the bacon, garlic, ranch dressing mix, soup, and sour cream together and pour over the top of the chicken. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6 hours. Shred chicken with two forks. Cook pasta as directed on package and serve chicken over pasta.

    I made this the othe week. SO GOOD! I added frozen spinach to the crock pot with two hours left. YUMMY! It almost reminded me of an alfredo and it tasted wonderful when we had it the following day for left overs!

    Is the (1oz) really the correct packet size to use for the dry ranch mix? The smallest I could find at the store was 12 oz.

      Jackie, the 1 oz is the weight of the pkg, I used a 12 oz pkg as well. only thing is you might want to only use 1/2 of the ranch packet, because the recipe on the back of the pkg calls for 16 oz sour cream to the entire pkg. In the recipe that is posted you are only using 8 oz sour cream and mine came out a bit too salty. hope this helps

    I just made this the other night, I made a couple of small changes in how I cooked everything. I didn’t add the bacon at the beginning, I actually waited & cooked the bacon up & then sauted spinach with it & added it in for the last 20 minutes. The only thing that I would do differently would be to only use about 1/2 the packet of Ranch dressing, because the recipe on the package calls for 16 oz of sour cream and in this recipe you are only using 8 oz and everything came out a bit too salty for our taste. We put this over mashed potatoes so it helped some with the salt. otherwise it was tasty!

    This is delicious! The family loved it!! I doubled the recipe and stirred the cooked noodles into the crock pot and kept it on warm until dinner. I also added milk to make it creamier and to make it not so salty. It was perfect! Thank you!!

    I used 12oz box of pasta…. and it seems I should have doubled the recipe for the sauce. Its ok nothing spectacular. I’ll make it again with a few tweeks!
