Master Bedroom Makeover on a Budget

I have had the same bedding for four years.  After a puppy, two kids and four years of wear and tear, I knew it was time to upgrade!  My husband told me I could give our room a facelift as long as I could keep it under $200.  It wasn’t a lot to work with, but it was enough to make a few changes that made our room look so much better!
We are currently living in an apartment while we try to find our first home.  The room is very small and we were unable to paint or make any drastic changes.  I thought the best way to change our room was to add some bright colors through fabrics and accessories.
Here are a few changes I made:
1.  “You & Me” Wooden Letters.  I bought these letters from The Wood Connection, but you could find unfinished wood letters at any craft store.  I hung them using 3M picture hanging strips.  For the bedding, I used the Mysa Ronn Comforter from Ikea, the Dvala Sheet Set from Ikea, and the Ofelia Vass Duvet Cover Set from Ikea.
2.  DIY Monogram Board.  You can find the tutorial to make this, here.
3.  Haverdal Frame from Ikea, spray painted blue and sanded down. White Lantern from Z Gallerie.

    We need to do a master bedroom re-do too… ok, so it’s really a “do” since it never got done when we moved in. We’re also in an apartment, and I love how you really gave your room a clean look with great pops of color! Great inspiration!
    ps- and I love that you used a bunch of stuff from Ikea, I’m like an Ikea addict :)

    I love what you did with your room. White makes the room look so much brighter and then adding the pop of color just makes it fun! Beautiful. Thanks for giving me some ideas for my own room.
