I just love apples, especially when fall time comes around. I was searching for new delicious recipes when I came across a way to make homemade applesauce. I was so excited! This applesauce would make a great side dish or a perfect afterschool snack!
Ingredients
4 apples - peeled, cored and chopped
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 30 to 40 minutes, or until apples are soft. Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher.
I didn't mash mine too much because I love the chunks!
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
