French Dip Crescents

One of my kids' favorite meals are Chicken and Cream Cheese roll-ups- they love that they can hold them in your hand and dip them in ketchup (I know it's weird, they inherited a love of ketchup from me). I have been on the lookout for more hand-held dinners that they would love and came across an idea for French Dip Crescents. I threw them together in a matter of minutes and they were a huge hit! Gotta love easy dinners that everyone likes!

French Dip Crescents
Ingredients:
2 packages of 8 count refrigerated crescent rolls
1 pound deli roast beef, sliced thin (I just told them I needed sandwich slices)
Provolone cheese, sliced into thin slices
Horseradish sauce (optional- I only used it for the adults)
Au Jus for dipping (homemade or store bought- whatever you prefer)

Directions:
Unroll crescents onto a large ungreased cookie sheet.
Spread a small dab of horseradish on each crescent (if using), then place a slice of roast beef and a piece of cheese on each crescent.
Roll crescents starting from the wide end and ending at the narrow end.
Bake at 375 degrees for 11 to 13 minutes, until crescents are a golden color.
Serve with Au Jus and enjoy!

    I don’t know how to make these without the insides being super doughy. I’ve had this problem with other stuffed crescents. There must be something that everyone knows that I don’t…what am I doing wrong?

    I make these all the time for my preschoolers lunch box! The only tweak is that I add a bit of caramelized onion and garlic into it as well (which softens up the cheese a bit for easier rolling!). They freeze well so I can just use them as needed.
