Kneaders Chicken Salad Sandwiches Recipe

We've made dinner a "no-brainer" for you with this delicious recipe!

I love sandwiches from delis and restaurants, but no matter how hard I try, I can never seem to make the "perfect" sandwich at home!  My husband and I love to eat at a restaurant called Kneaders Bakery where they serve amazing sandwiches on freshly baked bread.  I could drool just thinking about it.  This recipe actually tasted like we were eating there but without having to leave home!

This recipe is so easy to throw together!  You can even make it earlier in the day and keep it in the fridge until you are ready to serve.  It makes a perfect summertime meal when you are in a hurry!

Kneaders Chicken Salad Sandwiches Recipe:
(makes approx. 6-8 sandwiches)

Ingredients:
1/4 cup white vinegar
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
1-1/4 cup mayonnaise
1-1/4 cup sour cream
4 stocks celery, chopped
1 bunch green onion, chopped
4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts; cooked and shredded

Directions:
Mix vinegar, salt, pepper, mayonnaise and sour cream together.  Mix celery, green onion and chicken in separate bowl. Mix all ingredients together. Let set overnight or for a few hours for the best flavor.  Serve on buns or rolls.

  4. Just a little tip- I used to work at Kneaders, and they also have Water Chestnuts and Dill Weed in the chicken salad. It'll taste good without it, but the extra crunch is my favorite part!

@clskip, Kneaders just boils the chicken, but you could use the grill or the canned chicken. We would boil it so we could cut big chunks.

    Happy cooking! :D

  10. This was delicious! Thank you for sharing. It is excellent with the dill weed in it. I also added a couple handfuls of almonds and threw them in the food processor for about 30 seconds. I added about a cup of finely shredded carrots as well. Be sure to add the carrots last and don't over stir or else your chicken salad will look a little too orange. :) Amazing!

  11. I like Kneaders but haven't had their chicken salad. I'll have to give it a try but I've never found a recipe I like better than the one I use which contains soy sauce. You can find it on my blog if you'd like to give it a try! It's fantastic!

  12. I made this the other day and it was delicious! I usually just toss chicken, mayo, chopped onion, salt and pepper...so your recipe was a little something different and it was yummy :) Thank you.
