I notice that you only list a cooking time with the crock pot set on high. Could this be safely cooked on low and if so how long would it cook for? I’d love to do this on a work day but the 4-5 hrs. listed just isn’t enough time.
LOVE your site~thanks so much!
Hi Sue!
You could cook it on low for 6-8 hours!
Thanks SO much!!
You gals are the best. I had no idea what to cook for dinner, and I had all the ingredients for this recipe! THANKS!!!
Oh my gosh, YUM! I definitely know whats going on my grocery list for next week! Can the pork loin be frozen or does it need to be thawed out?
Hi Jessica!
I think it would work fine if your pork was frozen. Just check that it is cooked thoroughly before serving!
FYI this was so good! I used a frozen roast (it was smaller – only about 1 lb) and it still cooked in 4 hours on high.
How many people does a three pound tenderloin serve?
I would say 3 to 6 depending on your serving sizes.
this was really good. At the grocery store, I got a package with 2 pork tenderloins and I made one to give to a friend with an ill husband….it was slightly less than 3lbs, but that was OK bc the cranberries come in 14oz can, not 16oz can. My husband liked it (although he prefers the traditional oven baked or grilled tenderloin) – this one came out so tender it was almost like pulled pork. I will definitely make this again!! It was cooked in about 6 hours on low.
Do I need to add any water with it?
No water. The best pork loin ever!
