Rolo Pretzel Turtle Bites

These Rolo Pretzel Turtles are a staple at our house every Christmas. My mom has been making for years (as I am sure many of you have too!) and I always eat way too many of them. Something about the sweet and salty that gets me every time . . .
They are so simple to make, require very little time, and make a great gift for neighbors!
Ingredients:
1 (11 oz) bag of Rolos Caramel Candy
Pecan Halves (I used about 1/2 pound)
Small Pretzels (about 50)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Lay pretzels all over cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Put a Rolo on top of each pretzel. Place in oven and cook for 3-4 minutes. Pull out of the oven and press a pecan half gently onto each Rolo. Let them set up so you can transfer them to a plate (pop them in the fridge if you want them to set-up quickly!).
Put them in a cute cellophane bag for a quick and yummy Christmas goody for your neighbors.
(Allergic to nuts or just don’t like them? You can add an M & M candy or another pretzel on top!)

You mention using M&Ms if someone’s allergic to nuts, but my son is allergic to nuts/peanuts and all the M&Ms I’ve seen say “processed on shared equipment” which means he’s not allowed to eat them. I think I’ll try the 2nd pretzel idea…thanks:)
You may also be able to use Sixlets if you can find those in your area….they may not have a nut warning.
