Cinnamon Bear Popcorn

My husband is addicted to Cinnamon Bears and so when I saw this recipe over at Grey Luster Girl, I knew I had to make it for him. The sweet and salty combo is AMAZING! It was a big hit at our house and was a perfect snack for our Family Movie Night.

Cinnamon Bear Popcorn
3 Bags Popped Popcorn
4 Cups Mini Marshmallows
1 Bag of Cinnamon Bears (cut in pieces)
2 Sticks Butter (1 cup)
1 1/3 Cup Sugar
½ Cup Karo Syrup
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 Drops red food coloring

Line 3 cookie sheets with parchment paper.  Pop the popcorn and divide it over the cookie sheets.  Add about 1 1/3 cup of mini marshmallows onto each sheet.  Cut up the cinnamon bears and divide them among the popcorn. In a saucepan combine butter, Karo syrup, and sugar.   Heat to a boil on medium heat, stirring continuously.  Turn heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.  Add vanilla and food coloring.  Pour the HOT sugar mixture over the popcorn.  Carefully stir.  The heat will melt the marshmallows and make everything gooey and delicious.

Enjoy!

  1. So how did it taste? I'm not a huge cinnamon bear fan, but this sounds pretty good and I am a huge popcorn fan.

  2. Clumsy Coquette - we loved it! I am not a cinnamon bear junkie like my husband, but there was just something about the sweet and salty combo, along with the chewy cinnamon bears, that was AWESOME! It was a fun change from our regular butter popcorn and kettle corn!

  6. If you want to make this even cheaper and healthier, skip buying the packaged popcorn. Get some brown paper lunch bags, buy a jar of unpopped popcorn, put a 1/4 cup of the kernels in the bag, fold the top of the bag over twice, stick in the microwave for 3 minutes and then continue with this nice recipe.

    1. I am so sorry! I have learned that "cube of butter" is a Utah thing. :) It is the same as 2 sticks/1 cup. :)
