I buy a bunch of bananas every week, and they almost always go brown. I usually make our Delicious Low Fat Banana Bread, but I knew I would absolutely love this Nutella Banana Bread from Oleana Boutique. I'm officially a Nutella addict!

| My poor old camera doesn't focus, so just blur your eyes and imagine how good this is! :) |
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/4 cups mashed ripe banana
1/3 cup skim milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 heaping cup Nutella
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8×4-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda & salt.
3. In a separate large bowl, beat sugar and butter with an electric mixer at medium speed until blended. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add banana, milk and vanilla. Beat until blended.
4. Add flour mixture, beat at low speed just until flour is incorporated (don’t over mix).
5. Spoon Nutella into a small dish and soften in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Add 1 cup of the banana bread batter to the Nutella and stir until blended well. Spoon Nutella batter alternately with plain banana bread batter into the prepared pan. Swirl batters together with a knife.
5. Bake 50 to 60 minutes, it will seem a tiny bit undercooked but that’s what makes it good. Cool for at least 15 minutes in the pan, and then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

That looks SOOOO good!

Mmm. That looks good. We love Nutella!
ReplyDeleteMy husband would literally die over this. When I first brought Nutella home, over a year ago, I caught him sneaking into the pantry DURING DINNER to dip his finger in and get a taste. During the actual meal. So sad.
ReplyDeletePlus he loves banana bread. So this is a win-win.
Oh, did I mention I'd love it, too? ;)
I made this the other day and all I can say is YUM! I had exactly enough Nutella for 1 loaf and had to go buy more.....I'll be making a second batch tomorrow. Thanks so much!!

I had TWO giant jars of nutella from the bulk warehouse and had only opened one for one use. I found this recipe and made the bread over the weekend. I just finished my last two pieces this morning and am longing for more! It was so, SO good. I already had my favorite plain banana bread recipe but this might just beat it out! I always sprinkle extra sugar on the top just before baking for a slight crunch. Thank you for sharing. Very, very good bread!!!
ReplyDeleteJust made this recipe and I will never make regular banana bread again. It was delicious! I was eating the batter by the spoonful, and the baked bread was even better! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteDoes this make two loaves or one???
ReplyDeleteHi Cristina,
DeleteIt makes one loaf. Thanks!
I just made it and it totally overflowed an 8.5" x 4.5" pan :( The parts that were cooked were delicious though. I'll try again with two pans :)
DeleteI made this today and it was fantastic! I'd probably reduce the sugar to 3/4 c as the bread was very sweet, and the Nutella itself is very sweet, but I'm sorry to say the loaf is almost gone...
ReplyDeleteI made this and mine also overflowed the pan, it was still tasty though.
