My cute friend Kelli, from A Little Bit of Everything, was kind enough to share this darling kitchen cabinet makeover with us! Her blog has everything from fun crafts to delicious recipes! Go check it out!
Take it away, Kelli!
My name is Kelli. I am married to my best friend Kirk and we have a year and a half year old son Kyden. I have a degree in Elementary Education and I have my cosmetology license. When I became a mother I decided to stay at home with my son. That was a big change for me since I am so use to being busy and out of the house all the time. So I started crafting. It gives me something to work on and it keeps my brains working. I like to create projects with things that I have around my house! It is fun and I love crafting with people. So stop by and lets think of something to do together!
Here is one of my recent projects!
My friend is in construction. They ripped up a kitchen. This is what he brought home.
I think he was kidding when he asked if I wanted it but I sure did.
Don't you think it is pretty? No? well it will be.
We did a few coats of black spray paint.
Then a few coats of polyurethane spray paint.
I then measured some foam to the length and width of the cabinet and then I covered it with some cute material.. I glued the fabric on with Tacky glue.
Ky wanted to use the left over fabric as a blanket.
Then I glued the foam/fabric with gorilla glue and then put some weight on it and let it sit for a couple hours.
Then I used the cricut to give me some letters!
Then I just applied them on front!
I had some remaining fabric and I just glued it inside the cabinet on the bottom.
It is mostly to give the bottom some protection from scratching. But it looks awesome.
I got a tub and put the small toys in that then put all the toys in.
I'd say that this turned out great. Kyden likes it too and it serves two purposes.
Toy box and bench. Yes, he does have an ice cream mustache!
Hope you all like it. Let me know what you think!

Love it! The white letters on the black looks great! I bet your little one is having a great time with his new toy box!
ReplyDeleteBRILLIANT! I love that it is a front opening toy box, no falling lids to pinch little fingers.

Very cute! I have this same cabinet that was ripped out of who knows where and sat out for the garbage man. I've been wanting to do something similar, but hadn't considered a toy box. Wonderful idea. Thank you.
