I don't know about you, but I have a MILLION pairs of flip flops and I seem to accumulate more each summer. We saw this darling tutorial over at The Mother Huddle and knew that we had to make some! Plus, these flip flops worked perfectly for our Beach Challenge over at Wayward Girl's Crafts!
We followed the tutorial over at The Mother Huddle pretty closely, but we decided to do a little bit more to the flip flops by adding beads in-between the knots.
So, when you get to this point in your project . . .
Take a bead and thread it onto one piece of the fabric.
Do the same on the other side . . .
And then tie your knots after the beads so they stay on there.
Best thing about this project? It was completely free! I used scraps of fabric from other projects, beads from an old necklace, and flip flops that needed to be thrown away. And my mom taught me that you can clean old flip flops (mine always have a dirty outline of where my foot goes) by using Soft Scrub cleaner and a sponge and it makes them look like new again! Who would of thought? :)

Love them! So cute and oh so fun for the summer!
