Crock Pot Pineapple Chicken

I had been looking at a few recipes online for chicken and pineapple together and threw this together.  It was so easy and we really liked it!!

4 frozen chicken breasts
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. teriyaki sauce
1 can pineapple chunks,  drain half the juice out
Crushed red pepper flakes

Spray the crock pot with nonstick cooking spray and add chicken breasts.  Pour soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and pineapple chunks (with half of the juice) over the chicken.  Sprinkle as many red pepper flakes on top as desired.  Cook on high for 4-6 hours.  Shred chicken with two forks in the crock pot and serve over rice.

  3. If I only use 3 chicken breasts should I not cook it as long?

  4. I made this and did not like it. It was extremely salty with the two sauces. I also have a large crock pot, so the sauce only came up halfway on the chicken, so the tops came out kind of rubbery.

  5. This is cooking in my crockpot now - i put yellow, orange and red peppers in it, a sweet onion and some water chestnuts in it... it smells so good and i'm looking forward to eating it later! Making some Jasmine rice with it -- my mouth is watering!

  8. Made this today - it's good just too salty, next time I'd only use 1/2 cup soy and 1/2 cup water. But other than that, it was real tasty.
